Independent Learning – Year 7

This week you should research the meaning of the following key vocabulary words:

• Imagery

• Punctuation

• Destination

• Landscape

In your research you should focus on the meaning and spelling of the vocabulary and consider how each word links to your study of travel writing.

You will be tested on your understanding of the words later this week. You will be given a score out of 8: 4 mark for understanding meaning, 4 marks for spelling.

To help you learn your spellings, you should copy out each word and break down each syllable either by drawing around it or colouring the syllables in.
