Please find attached Independent Learning Task for this week. Here are some instructions to follow:

Operation: Brain Switch-On
Before starting, gently tap your brain and say, “Activate maths mode!” (If it replies, take a break.) -
The Pencil of Power
Choose your sharpest pencil. Tell it, “We ride at dawn,” and begin your work heroically. -
The Average Ninja Rule
Every time you finish a question, do a tiny victory pose like a secret ninja. No one has to know. -
The Distraction Detector
If you get distracted, point dramatically at the nearest object and shout, “Not today, chaos!” Then continue calmly. -

🌟 Part 1: Warm-Up Starter (10 minutes)
Task A: Quick Definitions Match
Match each term to the correct definition. Write down the pairs.

🧩 Part 2: The Snack Shop Survey (25 minutes)
The school snack shop recorded how many items students bought during break on Monday.
Data set (items bought per student):
4, 2, 3, 5, 3, 1, 4, 6, 3, 2
Task B: Organise the Data (5 minutes)

Write the numbers in ascending order.

Task C: Find the Averages (15 minutes)
Using your ordered list, calculate:
7. Mode: Which number appears most often?
8. Median: If n is even, find the mean of the two middle numbers.

Task D: Self-Check (5 minutes)
Check your answers using these clues:
